The Loft - Bellingham

This restaurant is wonderful! I was in town for work and wanted to try some good dining spots. I decided to give this place a shot without checking any reviews, and I’m glad I did! It has a lovely atmosphere with a charming ambiance and a beautiful view of the marina. I arrived shortly after a large engagement party, and the hostess kindly advised me to order quickly to avoid a wait. I opted for the salmon risotto, and it was outstanding! If you prefer large portions over quality, this might not be the place for you, but if you appreciate high-quality food, I highly recommend it!

Beautiful location and delicious food! we had the crab queso dip that was cheeky, spicy and krabby tasty. I had forgotten to make a picture and to ate many chips before I made a picture. I also had the chicken avocado sandwich with garlic. everything was so delicious and the service was very fast.

In our original visit, we stopped by for a late lunch and tried the cod fish and chips, which were outstanding! There were three generous pieces, incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, served with the skin on and accompanied by ketchup and homemade tartar sauce. It was so good! They also offer a variety of gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free options on the menu. We tried a craft beer (Aslan) and a cocktail that was equally delightful. We enjoyed our meal at the bar, which, like the restaurant, boasts a stunning view of the marina. The service was top-notch. This was our first time at The Loft, but we’re definitely planning to return with more friends later this summer.

The garlic mashed potatoes were a bit stiff and dry, not as creamy as I prefer, which was somewhat disappointing. I also really wanted to try the garlic parmesan fries, so I ordered those instead of the seasonal veggies (I know I should eat more veggies)! They were the best fries I have ever had! It was a generous portion, and I couldn’t stop eating them until they were gone, which is why my steak got cold! The garlic and the grated parmesan made for a delicious topping on the perfectly cooked fries. The side Caesar salad was okay but could have used more dressing. The atmosphere was much more comfortable and relaxed than I expected for such a high-quality meal that was elegantly prepared and beautifully presented. The cost was worth it, and I highly recommend it (obviously)! Oh, and yes, there is a full bar for those who want to indulge!
