Mr Submarine - Bellwood

The two aspects that kept me from giving it a full five-star rating were minor but worth mentioning. First, the soft drink machines were located behind the counter, which made accessing drinks a bit inconvenient. Secondly, while the employee who took my order wasn’t rude, a little more friendliness would have enhanced the experience. Overall, it’s a good place to eat!

The sandwiches here are excellent and the bread is fresh. The service was pleasant, though there was a bit of a wait since the place can get busy. Parking is limited, and the drive-thru situation is a bit awkward, but it functions. Mr. Sub also shares the space with a seafood spot, so you can get some decent seafood, although it is on the pricier side. You can't miss the location; it's right on Mannheimer Straße.

I don’t recall my childhood well, but I remember using different types of bread to ask for heavy oil and spices, although it wasn’t quite right. I usually never go near a sub shop, but I had to stop when I was nearby.

I ordered through Uber Eats for a company delivery, only to be informed at the last minute that it was canceled. When I called the restaurant, they confirmed the cancellation and explained that they were short-staffed. There was no apology or personal call to notify me of the issue. This is really poor customer service!

Ordered a Gyro and fries that sent me to the hospital with food poisoning. I didn't eat all of sandwich cuz I wasn't feeling the meat. About a hour later I was messed up. I ended up going to the hospital where I found out it was food poisoning or the person making my food had a virus. Never again will I go here, eat here at your own risk. You've been warned.
