Waffle House - Belmont

I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant and got three chocolate chip waffles, eggs, bacon, and grits. When I got home to prepare the meal for my two-year-old daughter, I discovered a gray hair in the food. I called the restaurant to let them know, and the woman on the phone acted as if it wasn't a big deal and offered to replace the waffle. I considered returning, but I really didn't want to make a scene. After hanging up, I tried to eat the rest of the meal, which wasn't contaminated, but it was all crammed together. I ended up losing my appetite and couldn't finish the food.

We've visited this restaurant three times in a row to place our orders, and each time there has been a mistake. This latest experience was particularly frustrating because my husband had to wait 40 minutes after work. By the time we were ready to eat at home, we ended up with food we didn’t even want and had paid for, while someone else took our intended order. During the previous visit, I waited about 50 minutes for my food, and after half an hour, I received the wrong order. I understand that the restaurant can be busy, which is why I gave it three chances, but this is simply unacceptable.

I hadn't been there in a few years, and it was fantastic! The flavors of everything were incredible.

I love the waffle house cooking and empire... But not that someone’s traffic of waiting for table customers, the experience makes a little unpleasant... trying to get your place or take yourself, makes you feel safe. And looks unorganized... help microstations... The smallest jobs help the experience.

I gave this Waffle House 5 stars 2 weeks ago but I had to change the rating after a recent visit. The way my to go order was put together was awful and two items were left out. The to go waitress also had tables and it was busy. It was clear that she had too much going on and thus everything was suffering. The parking lot and I interior were also dirty this time and that is usually not the case. Hopefully this was just once and if so, my next visit will be a 5 again
