To begin with, the personable 17 year old young man Diego in Spanish, Diogo I believe in Portuguese who welcomed us to the restaurant was welcoming and immediately brought smiles to our faces as he spoke Spanish and English, as well as Portuguese. He seated us at an ideal table for two in the coziest and most comfortable restaurant room we 've been in ... bringing a basket of bread and a plate of olives to our table, along with the menus. The Portuguese bread is to die for and the sauce kind of like a strained and sifted ensalada rusa was a novelty we hadn 't experienced elsewhere. The same could be said for the small eats menu, which by no means is small at all! The two of us enjoyed four different tapas or petiscos, ranging in price from five to seven euros: 1 A huge bowl of scrambled eggs with some sort of sausage or chorizo; 2 sausage meatballs served over a mustard sauce; 3 breaded mushrooms; and 4 Hunter 's sausage, whatever that is. Together with two overflowing baskets of bread and three glasses of the house red wino tinto excelente! , our total bill came to about 32 euros. We had lunch here and chose various tapas. The alheira and the ovos mexidos com farinheira were particularly good but everything was full of flavour. The service was outstanding, friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The location is also excellent on a pretty square in the heart of the historic zone. €56 with two bottles of excellent white wine. Highly recommended.

Depois de visitar o Castelo e como já era hora do almoço fomos procurar um restaurante Qual não é o nosso espanto quando reparamos na esplanada e resolvemos aproximar. Gostamos do sítio e procuramos por mesa já só havia 1 mesa vaga mesmo a calhar ...e depois de confirmarmos sentamos deliciados com o ambiente e aspecto Em relação ao Menu foi 5* adoramos a ideia de almoçar vários petiscos e tudo de qualidade e muito bem confeccionado Obrigada Fio de Azeite e aguardem a nossa volta
