Crows Hamburgers - Belton

This place serves the best burger in town, and possibly even the best in the region.

I discovered this little hamburger stand thanks to my parents. The location is compact, with only enough space for a few cars to park, and there are just two picnic tables tucked away in a shaded area for dining. They prepare fresh meat every day and make their own toppings from scratch. I've heard that when they run out of meat for the day, they close up shop, so it's a good idea to arrive early if you want to try it out. You can place your order at a walk-up window or through the drive-thru. I opted for the walk-up since it was a pleasant Texas spring day and I wasn't in a rush. I got the #1, which is a single meat patty cheeseburger with mustard, pickles, chopped onions, and tomatoes. It comes with a generous serving of fries and a drink for $6.25. The taste and freshness of the burger's ingredients were fantastic. The fries are cut thick but not greasy at all. Next time, I'm planning to try the double cheeseburger with grilled onions. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for friendly service and delicious Central Texas food.

The best authentic burgers you'll find anywhere! I'm talking about juicy, real beef patties that have the amazing aroma and flavor of beef. And did I mention they're massive?! The service is always excellent, and you can't help but smile at the charming mom-and-pop vibe. It truly feels like a throwback to simpler times!

20% of the people who voted on crowds are obviously left behind. That's the best burger I ever had. Better than Hut's, Hill's Cafe, Dirty's, Dan's/Fran's (all in Austin); better than Tommy's, Fred's and Kincaid's (FW); better than Health Camp and Cupp's (Waco)... The patty is hand-shaped and plastered and thinly pressed on the edges for a nice Charage. Put some bacon, salad, tomatoes and cucumbers on it, and you're all set. The Pommes are not special, but they are not bad. The Shakes are fantastic.

Old fashioned burgers: greasy and fantastic. No seating so you'll be taking it to go but it's a favorite bring-back for office lunches. Don't miss out on the shakes.
