Tabernita Con Alma - Benalmádena

Arrived late in the night at our apartment nearby. Found this place open and had some light bites after traveling all day. I had the Prawn with Wasabi mayonnaise delicious. We needed to get water and as shops were closed they gave us 2 litres to takeaway. Very friendly staff, great food, and obviously popular with locals. We have been back several times since.

This place is cosy and perfect for friends/family. The food is really good but moderate portions. The Bao is a small little bun that comes with a delicious mixture of pork and sauce. The burger was one if the tastiest I have tried. They offer wines and beers.

Was there with friends, food was excellent Tempura Prawns and Cheese Platter were to die for. Wine recommended by Alex was a good choice.

Best Tempura Prawna on the planet, the wine was excellent as were the staff . My wife has tapas recommended by the staff, that went well with the wines we had.

We were really looking forward to visiting here after the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor as it was our kind of food. Unfortunately eventhough online it was said to be open when we arrived the chef was indoors with the shutters half down so we were unfortunately left disappointed. Please update your times online so other travellers are not left disappointed.
