The Human Bean Bend

I’ve been coming to this coffee hut for a long time, and always receive excellent coffee and stellar service.Today was above and beyond.Tate was 100% driven to make sure I got exactly for what I asked, going above and beyond to make sure everything was right.He wouldn’t take “good enough“ as an option.As the owner and CEO of two companies in town, this is the type of employee I bend over backwards trying to find to represent my companies.

The service here was fast and friendly. Drinks were pretty good- as expected!

I used to love going to Human Bean for my coffee fix, but lately I've been disappointed. My go-to drink, a caramel granita with hard caramel, used to be perfect every time. It was blended perfectly with chunks of caramel and always topped with a coffee bean. However, in the past 10 visits, I've had issues with getting the drink just right. Sometimes I don't get caramel at all, the taste is off, or they forget the coffee bean. Even when I specifically ask for extra caramel, I still only get a small drizzle. Today, when my fiancé surprised me with a granita with lots of caramel, the taste was horrible - no coffee or caramel flavor, just bland. I've tried to communicate my concerns to the baristas, but it seems like they're having difficulty getting it right, possibly due to a new machine. Despite their usual friendly demeanor, it feels like they're rushing through orders. I witnessed them chatting about the machine for 5 minutes before finally making my drink. I want to give Human Bean another chance, but the recent inconsistencies have been frustrating.

If I'm on the east side, my go-to restaurant is Honey and Pine on Reed Market Road.

This is definitely the top spot for smoothies and coffee. The texture and flavor here are unlike any other place.
