You have your roast and vegies a pasta dish and fish and chicken to choose from otherwise you can order from the special board or the normal menu. Kid's are catered for as well and they have a great play area. Something to please everyone.
We were there for a family function with the guest of honour turning 90. The food was delicious and there was a great variety to choose from. The service was excellent, considering the amount of guests who were there, not to mention the regular customers. I would definitely recommend this as a wonderful place to go and have a pleasant time. If I was to score it, the score is 10/10
30 people booked over two tables. We all ordered within the same 15 minute period. Some meals came out within a reasonable time, but there were 5 meals that didn't come out until 1 hour later, then the last 4 meals didn't come out till TWO HOURS after ordering. The apology ... a free drink! The hardest part was watching people come and order, their food come out (same as the 4 orders we were waiting on) then leave and we were still waiting. The meals were average to good, but it is hard to enjoy a meal that destroyed the atmosphere of the party.VERY disappointed.
Good if you're a family, as the playground is in the middle and you can watch your kids. Food itself is average to good, depending on what you order. Service was poor at times. Would recommend overall.
Dropped in here while staying at the accommodation and, oh, didn't we regret it! Firstly, this is an Australian bistro in a country town that doesn't serve beef schnitzel? Odd. The menu seems long but it's missing a few fairly standard meals. Wouldn't have a problem with that, except for the fact that they only 'cuisine' they list themselves as is "Australian".Service at the bar was odd. They seemed happy to get me a Coke but irritated when I asked for some table water. I was then stared at for the money, but they'd never told me how much the Coke actually cost? It seems they assume many patrons are locals, which isn't really ideal. Finally, the worst part, our table all ordered the only menu item which appealed - lasagna. The thing on my plate was the most ambiguous attempt at a lasagna I've ever experienced. Frozen microwave lasagna is literally 5x better. If there was any form of sauce in the mince, you couldn't tell for how dry it was. Worse still, there was no bechamel. None. This thing was literally dry mince, pasta sheet, dry mince, pasta sheet, cheese.Factor in the loud member draws (which nobody seemed to even respond to) and the fact that in a half empty bistro we waited an hour for food.... terrible experience.
