The Foundry Hotel Bistro - Bendigo

Went to lunch here with my grandmother and every single thing she tried to order was unavailable! Other then trying to find something to eat, when they did come out they were very yummy meals and the staff were lovely!

A group went for lunch and the team coped pretty well with orders for 16 people. The system mostly worked well , but you have to be on the ball for your ticket number and what you ordered.$16.90 on a Saturday for two courses is great value - I had the beer battered whiting and a cheesecake dessert, Sadly the fish batter was over cooked and the cheescake looked like a tart with a crust too thick to eat.

Great atmosphere, great service and an awesome meal. Fresh vegetables and salad and an early bird discount before 6.30pm. Very enjoyable experience.

Last night we came here for a work dinner. A little disappointing but being a large group we were moved into a table in the sports bar- which would have been fine, but it was packed!! And the table didn't fit us all anyway so half the group had to sit in a booth across the room which happened to be vacant. Considering we had made a booking, and on a Friday night the sports bar was pumping and extremely loud and busy!All this aside, and perhaps not for a work dinner, the sports bar upgrade is very cool and it's easy to see why it is so popular. The food was also excellent. American style menu which is popping up around Bendigo a bit more now. I had a Parma and the southern style really tastes awesome. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals too ranging from sliders to pizzas to buffalo wings!

Excellent value for money, great bistro meals, friendly service with a smile and a chat. The steak, fish or chicken is always good, salad has a beautiful dressing and mushroom sauce never disappoints.
