Paquito - Benidorm

We stumbled on this bar whilst looking for another eatery which happened to be closed. We sat outside and luckily the waiter spoke English. We were given a menu, and chose tapas, we had grilled liver, meatballs, croquettas, eggs, russian salad which were all very good. The place was full of locals by 9pm. Finished off with coffee and cheese cake, very good value. We called in again the following evening and had to sit inside as it was very busy, we had the 12 prawns which were very good, and the croquettas again. We had a glass of wine which was very nice and was only 2 euros 50 cents! The waiter was from Georgia and was very helpful.

We went this evening to Paquito restaurant to have some Tapas and a couple of drinks. It was recommended to us by locals. You can have either a “tapa” or small portion, “media ración” or medium portion or a “ración “ or large portion, Depending on how many you are or how hungry you are. We ended up having five tapas/media ración and drinks for two people for less than €20. Good quality food, well cooked, quick and caring service. If you happen to speak a bit of Spanish, take advice from the waiter so you won’t end up ordering too much food! I definitely recommend the fried meatballs with jelly “Albóndigas fritas” and for the Fish lovers, you can’t miss the codfish bites “buñuelos de bacalao” . The only downside is that the menu is in Spanish only, but that is nothing that you cannot translate with a pocket frasebook or Google translator.

Comimos unas bravas muy buenas, pero unas hamburguesas sin pena ni gloria (la de pollo ni se os ocurra, la normal anodina), y una racion de calamares recomendada por el camarero, que era muy grande eso sí. Quizá no escogimos muy bien los platos... no sé... el servicio amable.

Cómo siempre es un placer poder ir a degustar tapas y comidas caseras...cómo su caldo con pelotas, arroz con costra etc.

Fuimos a cenar y tomamos tapas con mucha calidad y unos montaditos buenísimos. El servicio atento y bastante rápido para lo lleno q estaba. Recomendable 100
