Alberto's Italian - Bennington

My husband and I visited the bar for the first time, and they have everything down perfectly except for social distancing. The staff was patient, very helpful, and knowledgeable. Teri and Jordan were especially pleasant—highly recommend stopping by! We tried the grilled chicken and my husband had the steak. The team at Kochs really did a fantastic job on Monday night! 5 STARS!

The veal cutlet was cooked to perfection, practically melting in my mouth. The zeety was a bit cold around the edges, and the red sauce had a slight sourness to it. It was best balanced with a sweeter base, like sugar or even raisins, to counteract the acidity. Fortunately, the warm food complemented the dish well. My salad tasted fresh, as if it were made with quality ingredients. The grated cheese came in a small shaker, but I struggled a bit to get it out. Once I removed the cover, a generous amount came out; it was fresh and slightly moist, adding a great flavor. I chose to sit in the bar area, as the main dining room was a little noisy due to a lively party. This area had better acoustics, allowing for a more relaxed atmosphere. The décor was pleasantly understated, making the restaurant visually appealing. As I was getting ready to leave, I noticed the place starting to fill up, which is always a good sign. It suggests the food must be popular, as diners wouldn’t return if the meals were disappointing. The menu doubled as the placemat, which is a clever concept. I often wondered if those plastic-covered menus were cleaned between uses, but I’ve seen other places wipe theirs down. There were comfortable chairs near the entrance where you could wait, and there was ample parking available, complete with a ramp for those who may have difficulty walking. After an exhilarating day speeding down the Duck Hole at Crotched Mountain, we found ourselves at Alberto's for a massive feast that truly delighted our senses and left us feeling wonderfully satisfied. The chicken parmesan was rich and delicious, and the Brownie Sundae was so incredible it left me momentarily speechless. We were even visited by Alberto himself, who checked in on us during our meal. It was great to have a friendly chat with this local legend—or is it a myth? He mentioned that if we thought the Duck Hole was amazing, we really needed to try his cumoni!

Local family owned Italian restaurant, in the minute you go into treated you like family. The service was always great and the food is amazing. The seafood is delivered fresh a few times a week and is so good. Haddock, Skalopps have always been great. Pizza is delicious as well as all their other meals. It is also very affordable. They won't be disappointed.

Very friendly service. Very good Italian food at reasonable prices. The rib eye steak is also very good.
