Champagne Charlize - Bentleigh

Almost perfect experience. The hospitality was warm and inviting. The quality of the food was exceptional. The portion sizes could be a bit larger, but perhaps that's why you enjoy it so much—you always want just a little more!

The food is outstanding with a European flair, and the spaghetti marinara was so delicious that my husband claimed it was the best he’d ever had. We received attentive and friendly service from Alex, whose wife is the chef. The best part is the peaceful atmosphere; it’s quiet enough to hear yourself think! This place is a hidden gem on Centre Rd in Bentleigh.

I took my parents to this restaurant during their visit, and my mom ordered the Seafood Marinara, which she absolutely adored (the presentation of the dish was also impressive!). I had the Lamb Shank, and it was fantastic. We enjoyed a lovely evening here.

Champagne Charlize  This restaurant is amazing.  Total gem in Bentleigh.  Can’t believe it took me so long to find this place.  Alex and Eve have been running restaurants for over 50 years and have it down pat.   The menu is billed as European and Alex and Eva’s heritage is evident in the choice of dishes.  Chicken soup with matzoh balls, cabbage rolls and goulash all feature.  But my favorites are the Seafood Chowder and the Seafood Marinara shown below).  Not to say that the other items aren’t good.  The pumpkin, sweet potato and coconut soup is seriously good.  The crepes filled with roast duck are another outstanding entree.

What a little Gem! Great food, lovely restaurant with carpeted floors, so quiet.  Run by a gorgeous  husband and wife team. Service was quick and friendly.  It's as if you are in their kitchen at home. Prices very reasonable as well. Their seafood Paella was absolutely overflowing with seafood and the Duck was perfect.  Definitely coming back.
