Mardi Gras On The Rend - Benton

I had a fantastic experience, and we really had a great time! I only wish more people could have joined us. Rend Lake Resort is a beautiful spot, but it could benefit from a bit more care and attention. I believe they should organize more public events like this one.

I'm not sure what kind of experience others had, but my time at this resort was the worst I've ever encountered, and that's saying something. All the boat docks were restricted for guests without any apparent reason, especially since there wasn't a crowd to justify it. There was absolutely no illuminated boat parade; I'm not sure if that was supposed to happen or if it was just a joke, but it certainly felt that way. The bands sounded like they were from a nearby retirement home. There was only one beer tent, maybe three vendors, and two food stands—definitely not what was advertised. As a frequent guest at the resort, I didn't expect a Mardi Gras level of excitement, but even with my low expectations, I was extremely disappointed.
