Another great little place that (mostly) locals eat in. Everything is home made from the freshest ingredients purchased by Le Patron' from the market outside his restaurant. Can't fault either the quality or the value (currently Le Menu' is for three courses, wine...and coffee extra.
This restaurant and tea room opens at noon and serves lunch and food until late afternoon. The menu is varied and we eat there every visit to the Dordogne. We both ordered the crusted fresh salmon that was available that day and agreed that it...was the best salmon we had ever had. It mainly serves the local business people and shoppers and has the usual fare pf fixed price lunches and regional fare. The deserts are home made and the salads are really fresh. It has a sidewalk terrace in the street for people watching in good weather and is directly next to the Cathedral and main market. It is family owned and run and they are very friendly and helpful. Dominique speaks very good English.
Dominique Jean-Luc lead together a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and delicious deserts. in any case, they recommend to stop lunch here if they are next in bergerac! after the Kovid lock is over, we will be back in summer
They feel like the family when entering this little restaurant that is from a couple (wife is in front of home, man is chef). Wife speaks English and German, so can help translate the menu that changes based on what is in the season. delicious desserts!
