I also tried one of their tartlets and it was very good. The staff is friendly and helpful, they suggested me what to get as it was my first time there. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Tasty sandwiches that are on the heavier side, but you can make it a balance meal with a nice side salad, which is no slouch either. If you are hungry, upgrade to get their crunchy and flavorful fries as part of your meal. It also doesn't hurt that they offer a UC Berkeley discount.
Pros: onions, smoked bacon, Emmenthal cheese pizza cutesy decorations and well lit chef was friendly and took a photo with us :D creme brûlée was tasty Cons: a bit pricey Bottom line: I enjoyed the food and had fun catching up with an old friend here. I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit, but if you're in the area, you should stop by for a dessert!
Among an excellent Berkeley food scene, Le Petit Cochon stands out for consistent above expectation French food at casual dining prices. A little gem is that you can buy a wine bottle at close to retail price to enjoy in a restaurant setting. Solid sparkling wine bottle for $16 with lunch, yes thank you.
I have had breakfast here twice and loved it. My boyfriend and I get their breakfast sandwiches and they are incredibly rich and delicious. They are very friendly and everything is made to order.
