Assateague Island Surf Cafe - Berlin

We visited the Surf shop during our mini honeymoon, not only was the staff amazing and incredibly friendly, but the shop itself was awesome. We visited twice in two days, LOVED the açaí bowls and coffee, as well as purchased wine from Boordys and other fun souvenirs. After not having visited ocean city for 11 years, I can’t wait til our next trip- specifically to Assateague Island Surf Shop!

That place was amazing. I'm a bit of a picky eater and I love smoothies that are non dairy. Walked in asked for my favorite smoothie and not even batting an eye made it for me. They did not have oranges but suggested clementines. My husband and daughter loved the place as well. They even gave great suggestions about getting lunch. A must stop for anyone.

Highly recommended! We visited for coffee and were delighted by the rustic, beachy atmosphere inside, as well as the seamless connection between the surf shop and the coffee shop. There’s a fantastic accent wall made of colorful wood! The clothing is top-notch, and the owners were friendly and helpful. When I inquired about a different size, the owner promptly checked and brought it right to me. Be sure to get your Assateague shirts here!

We visited for the first time today and were instantly captivated by a beautiful dog lounging on the ground, soaking up the surroundings. The atmosphere was ideal for a beach setting—simple, easy, and comfortable. The coffee bar was small, but I absolutely loved it. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was delightful to chat with. As fellow coffee shop owners, it was great to exchange ideas and experiences. He even offered us a delicious, fresh acai bowl and suggested we sell it back at our shop in Pennsylvania. What started as a first visit has now become a regular stop every time we come to the island. I’d give it five stars, but it deserves six or more!

My wife took me to the Assateague Island Surf Shop, which she opened for Father's Day. We were the first customers at the new shop. It's a fantastic place! The prices are reasonable for a surf shop, and the owners and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. As a local, I’ll definitely be returning soon.
