Not bad, not good, acceptable. Quantity was good. Also, after learning that Libby’s is actually, in -every- way, Ruby Tuesday’s, I will not be eating with them again. My family will also be abstaining from eating at either “name”. Same kitchen, same menu items as inside the restaurant with marked up prices. Disgusting practice and others should tell them this as well. This new practice of restaurants having “ghost kitchens” and not clearly indicating them as such, is deceitful and should be illegal. Sadly, until enough people stand against it, it will continue.
Ordered a Bourbon Chicken Salad, and what a disappointment, just web lettuce, mainly with some old fried chicken thrown on. My two charges had cheese burgers and they were also disappointed. Expensive for the food served, will not go back.
I've been to this location many times and the booths are horribly cramped and uncomfortable. Little leg room and seats that are not nice on the back. They desperately need to renovate in order to make their booths a little more spacious. On the bright side, food here is usually good. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at this location. The salad bar is a particular favorite.
First take a good look at the dining area; stained, old carpeting, worn seating upholstery, veneer missing or chipped off of kick plates. Now the bathroom; unclean appearance and sticky floor. The staff, I assume, waiting to go on duty; slouched in booths, texting, drinking Dunkin Donut coffee! Second the food; not the first time a hamburg ordered medium rare came out well done and needed a return to the kitchen. Also burger seemed a little smaller than remembered, now served with shredded lettuce, not a generous size leaf. My order of the new fried chicken sandwich was soaked in grease not at all drained. The entire sandwich sat in a pool of fat. Although the chicken breast was of reasonable size, it was chewy. The salad bar seems to be the draw.
Used to be able to expect a reasonable meal with equally reasonable prices served in a maintained establishment. Not any more! Restaurant is tired in appearance; old carpeting, worn seating, chipped tables, and unattractive lamp shades just to name a few. Remember the salad bar? Because of Covid perfectly understandable it no longer is. They have gone to an all you can eat salad by selecting what items you want from a checklist. Good idea but gone are many of the items such as broccoli salad, potato salad, cole slaw. Fewer items higher price! Our waitress waited to serve the salad until our meal was ready saying that she would let our dinners stay in the kitchen until the salad was eaten. Great! Now everything gets cold or over cooked under a heat lamp. As it turned out, the hamburger ordered medium rare arrived well done and was sent back. The broccoli on the side was a watery collection with many pieces having discolored florets and stems. Can fully understand why Ruby Tuesday is in Chapter 11; needs much reorganization.
