Berlin Diner

Just had lunch there today, and first before being seated, not sure if he is the owner or manager, but this guy is very abrasive if not rude. The food is sub par at best. Food lacks taste and whoever creates the dishes should have to eat the food before serving this stuff to people. The only part of our experience that we enjoyed was our waitress and the service was spot on, but the food,not good. Owner or manager needs an attitude adjustment he lacks people skills in every area.

This diner used to be my go-to when I lived in the Berlin/Atco area years ago. Recently I was back in the area and stopped in for lunch and I was so disappointed. I had a salad and chicken tenders. Salad was decent, but the chicken tenders were batter dipped which I found really odd and they were soggy and didn't have much taste. The carrots and celery that came with them were wilted and old looking. My husband had the beef dip sandwich. Though it was large, the roll wasn't good at all and the beef was super tough. The French fries were good...credit where credit is due. Our waitress was nice and the service was quick...but honestly whatever is going on in the kitchen has to get worked out. Doubtful I will ever return.

Dined in on July 1st 2023. Fiancé ordered crab imperial waitress said it was basically their crab cakes “made into one big crab cake”. Not only was this untrue, it was disgusting and smelled like feet. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was extremely over cooked. Extremely. The fries were coated in an insane amount of old bay for no apparent reason, which I hate. The waitress asked how it was, we told her we didn’t like it. She said that’s a shame and walked away. Oh well! We won’t be eating here again. Plenty of other diners. I don’t recommend this one. Gave off vibes that the staff and management didn’t care if you were happy or liked the food.

Breakfast was cooked exactly to order. Chrome and more shiny chrome atmosphere. This was our first time and we will be back again and again. It was uncanny that the waitress knew how we would like our eggs prepared and which meats we would want. I guess that comes with experience and caring about one's customers. Oh and the best pancakes I've ever had!

Berlin diner quickly became one of my favorite places to order from or dine in. I moved to Berlin in 2021, and since have recommended it to many, and brought people there to dine. The restaurant is clean and every meal has been outstanding. I had only 2 issues in the last 2 years, which the diner worked quickly to correct and in one case was the fault of the delivery app. I am confident this will become your new favorite diner.
