The quality of the food is excellent with fresh and tasty ingredients. There is a range of sauces available for the Doner and having tried different ones, I would just stick with the simple yoghurt one, but this obviously is just a matter of taste....The food is very good, the portions abundant and the price is very reasonable. Also, after having ordered two doners, the two very nice guys at the counter wanted to offer me a free tea, which I politely declined but it was a nice gesture. The possibility to be sitting either inside or outdoors is also a nice touch, as on hot days it is much nicer to eat outdoors. The fact that this Doner place is just around the corner of the Kulturbraeurei (which houses an excellent museum on life in the GDR), makes it easy to combine the two, plus it is only three stops by tram from the end of the open air museum on the Berlin Wall along the Bernauer Strasse. Also, the restaurant is literally across the U2 station EberswalderstrasseExcellent, go there!
This was my first time having a doner. I've had shawarma and gyros, and I thought a doner would be similar. It is, kind of, except the chicken doner I had was a triangular kind of wrap/sandwich, and with a different kind of flatbread. It's...messy to eat but super delicious!!
Having not very actually experienced a donner after a load of beer,my first has spoiled me !! It was amazing and so cheap and friendly.....what a great little cafe that also sold the cheapest beer in Berlin......marvellous place with two lovely gentlemen serving
Nothing like some real german kebab, this one definitely hits the spot. Great bread and sauce, the meat was a bit dry but everything else made up for it.
