Transfer from a closed community: 01.02.2012 When our stem was closed, we went here for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. As written, it is small and cozy here with a family atmosphere. There was a breakfast buffet for 4.90 euros. Various cheeses and sausages, cereals, fruits, yogurt, juice and various rolls. It is close to this price not to find extravagant supplements and all amenities food, but this is OK. A good value for money with friendly service. Recommended.
Clean and simple, good bath. Minibar with reasonable prices. Good food nearby.
We were in Berlin only overnight, so we walked from our hotel to the Alt-Tegel street. This street is mostly closed to traffic and has lots of shops, restaurants and ice-cream stores. After we strolled for awhile, we chose this bar/pub to get some dinner. There were people sitting outside in this and other cafes, but we chose inside sitting. What a charming place! Lots of wood, tables and a bar in a fairly small space. The waitresses were friendly, and as we found throughout Italy, the younger people speak more English, so after taking our order and struggling with English, the older waitress turned us over to the younger one.I had a beer--Stilles Wasser. Since the menu was totally in German, we asked for help with the translation. I ended up ordering the schnitzel wiener art, and Ken got the rumpsteak krauterbutter. Both were good. Mine was breaded pork cutlet, and Ken had the beef. For dessert we had quarkstrudel, a lightly sweet cheese filled strudel and two coffees. The whole dinner was 33.50 euros. I would definitely return if we get back to that area again!
We were staying at a friends house close by so while our bus arrived we took a walk we needed to change the baby and also were a little hungry. Some of the other restaurants had the kitchen closed at (weird) but that was...open, we asked if the menu was available in English, waiters said yes, and then it wasn’t. (And we didn’t know German, thanks to google translator) Then they didn’t have a baby changer And at the end they didn’t receive credit card our feeling was bad service Food was ok, we got a pea soup for baby and sausages and beer Either way we didn’t feel welcome.
