Matreshka - Berlin

Reasons to go:1) Amazing food with reasonable price: my husband and I ordered blinis with beef and blinis with salmon for starters, Gulasch and Paprikaschote for main courses, fresh berry juice and Wostok for drinks. Every single dish is a delight and the total cost is less than EURO30. 2) Wonderful service: the waiter/manager is friendly and helpful. Unlike some restaurants in Berlin where "service" is non-existence and waiters tend to teach you how/what to eat, Matreshka has a comfortable and unpretentious vibe. 3) Complementary top-notch vodka: We were offered great quality vodka to go with our meal and cranberry liquor after the meal. The waiter briefed us on the vodka and the liquor. Next time when we are there, we will buy a bottle of each! 這家位於東柏林的俄羅斯餐廳有美味的東歐菜餚，醇香道地的伏特加和甜酒，很舒服的氣氛，以及公道的價格。極力推薦。

Excellent Russian food! Pelmeni superb! Every soup delicious. Zrazi were awesome. Pan fried potatoes to die for.

We were there for a late lunch. The food was Russian comfort food. Delicious! We had stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage, and potatoe schnitzel. Everything was great! The service was good, place was very clean. They were very accommodating about gluten free needs. I have a paper printed in German explaining celiac. The waiter carefully read the information and took it into the kitchen before confirming gluten free items on the menu. Three full meals for under 30 euros. Also in a very fun, eclectic area of the city.

Unassuming and low key place with typical heavy European food. The best bit is the good vibes...and the free bottle of vodka for the table.....!!! Worst bit...monday hangover.

I have been a couple of times to Matreshka, blinis are ok, pelmeni not that much, the special tea with mermelade is quite interesting. I guess I just can say that the food and drinks are ok, but for the price they do not reach excellency.
