Apart from the huge pastrami sandwich I had and reuben the huge one that my son had. but my wife had a great Beluga-Linsengericht with feta and I started with a fantastic gazpacho from tomato and pfirsichen. Normally there are little soup - but outside it was too warm. the food was excellent, but the neighbourhood was a real tasty bite with pretty shops and restaurants in the environment. for me, berlin, after it was only 6 months after the fall of the wall here, has become so vested. this quarter, however, only soars against young energy and creativity. a definitive bonus in addition to an excellent eating! !
It is huge and you sometimes have to wait a good time, like 1/2 hour, but it is worth it. enjoyed it, great eating, no dinner tonight necessary. the service is "English preference", but no problems to communicate in German. great place, glad it is there.
Great place for a relaxed lunch - the portions are great and the sandwiches are incredible. I had the lentil sandwich, which was freshly prepared in front of site and was delivered with a beautiful Chipotle-Mayo, avocado, salat leaves and meat tomate. the NY theme is clear by the homemade herbalate and the beilagengurke. it was rich, tasty and well presented and you expect it to be healthy. as dessert we had a summer crumble with summery aromen and a classic baked NYC cheesecake. I think the chefs were Americans and knew how to make quenelle, but not too cheffy. a really pleasant lunch and the brother who served us was also very funny!
We were here for lunch on a recent trip to berlin. it is not easiest to find, as I didn't know it was in a common building. this is just a small thing, but something that was noticed by a series of visitors. we were three. one had reuben, one had the salat with lenses and goat cheese and the third person had the Pastrami salad. all were absolutely delicious. we have taken a reub for our home flight and it has tasted almost as well 6 hours later. highlight, however, was the **** mary cocktail! ok, maybe I was just dizzy when I had a **** mary on a Monday at midday, but it was good! it is expensive - the reuben sandwich costs 14 € and our bill for 3 main dishes, 2 desserts, a cocktail, water, a non-alcoholic drink and 2 coffees was slightly more than 80 €. we sat on a sofa, but if we had sat on the hard benches in the middle of the rather small sitting area, we might have felt a little uncomfortable at this price. all in all we enjoyed our experience. eating was really good. our waitress was good.
The first time it was quite hard for me to recognize it, but I had the best pastrami I found here in berlin. when they catch them in a not so crowded moment, they try to talk to them about bbq and so, they have a lot of experience
