ProMo - Berlin

The restaurant is on a quite corner from Moabit hustle. Came here by advice from my friend. It was really cozy and friendly place with good service on sunday despite the rush they had. Obviously the owner has some Indian roots because there were a special section for Indian food. I tried lamb sabzie which was really tasty. Prices are also very reasonable so if you are around, have a visit!

Ate here on two evenings and tried the Indian menu and the pizza. Both meals were very good and reasonably priced. Also a good selection of fruit juices and smoothies.

Having read the other reviews, I was not sure about this place - but came away very glad to have checked it out for lunch. It's on a quiet corner, although only a couple of minutes away from Turmstrasse, and there are plenty tables outside. The lunchtime menu (12-15) is excellent value at €5.50 for any salad or pasta dish from the main menu - I had the Penne Arrabiata (spicy, with parmesan) and my partner had the Maultaschen Salad. Both were fresh, nicely served and - not so usual - decent sized portions (see photos). The service was very friendly and overall it was a very positive experience. The weekly menu is an unusual mixture of Italian and Indian. Definitely one to note if you are in the vicinity.

Visited this small restaurant/bar where no English translation of the menu was available. The waitress was pleasant, but failed to draw our attention to several dishes we saw served later on to other customers. The meal itself was very average and the wine poor. A disappointing visit.

My wife and I had late supper twice at Promo when we visited Berlin in September. We sat at the outdoor patio in the evening, very cosy atmosphere. Both the service and the food were very good at promo. The patio chairs come with blankets to help keep warm while having a good meal and good company. A highly recommneded place to dine and chill in the Tiergarten area of Berlin.
