Café Sisal - Berlin

We visited this restaurant each day for the 4 days we stayed. The staff greeted us each day and treated us as regulars. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for them. You were made to feel like a friend. Highly recommended

I live in Berlin and usually try to experience a range of restaurants. Sisal is the only place I am continuously drawn back to. I have a toddler and the staff here accommodate us so well. The food is tasty and great value for money. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The good food, the excellent treatment, we have eaten two nights to evening and it has really enjoyed us, the place is small with an open kitchen with which you can see how they cook, and the price seemed fair for the offer.

I was really, really pleasantly surprised by this place. Our family of four was exhausted after a lot of walking (even our Fitbits were tired of counting steps) and we were hungry and tired. It was my birthday so I was hoping to find a good spot for a meal.We had done three straight nights of Asian food so we decided to switch it up and I must say that I am really happy we did and that our meal was fantastic.I ordered an amazing pork cutlet with chanterelle mushrooms in a creamy turmeric sauce. I was really really surprised. I generally associate Turmeric with Indian food, not German food nor really European food at all. The turmeric was a perfect counter to the creamy mushrooms and sauce (yes I will say it) which provided a lot of “UMAMI” flavor. The dish was served with a small mound of minty slightly sweet rice that brought everything together. I am not normally much for rice or starches (with the exception of perfect pasta or amazing bread) but this rice was delicious in its own right and fantastic together with the rest of the plate.My older son ordered the special pizza with chanterelles, prosciutto, and pineapple. This was a perfect pizza in Germany. My wife ordered order a turmeric chicken with chanterelles and creamy sauce with Pineapple. Don’t know why it works but it did brilliantly.My younger son had a basic pasta. Evidently quite delicious, he nearly finished it.

I was dating a good friend yesterday and we were looking for a restaurant spontaneously. we have been more happy to have this. we put ourselves outside in the sun and enjoyed a "round careless package" from the moment. very nice and accommodating waiter, nice atmosphere and great eating! definitely recommend for everyone who wants to let the evening just relax or simply to enjoy the sun in the afternoon! we'll be back. :
