Marzilibruecke - Bern

Excellent fondue in a pretty gondola, super good and very original.

Fondue in the gondola was super delicious. Nice ambience and service was also attentive. Unfortunately the service only spoke English and that in Bern. It's a real shame...

We had a salad bowl for 2 with buffalo. Was wonderful. And the house dressing is also super delicious. Main course tartar slightly spicy flavored with whiskey. Next time I would order mild because the whiskey was completely drowned in the slight spiciness. All in all, it wasn't exactly cheap, but it was worth every franc. Also super polite dialect-speaking service. I would immediately recommend it to everyone. Thanks.

Cool spot for fondue. They have old ski lifts and sauna huts out front that you can sit in if you just want to have the fondue experience. A nice date option, or if you dont mind sitting knee to knee with your buddy after a day of snowboarding. We had the truffle cheese and it was delicious. They serve potatoes, pickles, and pickled shallots with the fondue. I feel like like there should have been more options of cheese (there were only 2) and more of a selection of things to dip, considering the price (80franc for 2 people) but it was still a cool experience. They had a really nice wine selection.

We had the potato and lime cold soup and it was a tasty surprise (it comes in a glass with a straw). The buratta and tomato salad was tasty. The salad with chicken breast was also good (I would have preferred to have the sauce on the side, so I could have as much or as little as I wanted). The chocolate cake with double cream was great. Staff was very nice and service was good.
