Kuhi - Bernal

What a beautifully designed restaurant! We had a wonderful breakfast served by a friendly and efficient waiter in a lovely dining room. It has a very peaceful feel to it, off the main street a bit, bright and sunny but quiet.

Our guide for the day gave us 3 choices of restaurants to dine in for lunch, explaining that this one was Mexican gourmet. He was correct. Giovanni and his girlfriend presented delicious AND exquisitely plated dishes, one after another. I was so impressed as I watched her put the finishing touches on our plates with a TWEEZERS!!! My pasta dish was inspired, the remarkable sauce complementing the filling of the perfectly al dente purses. I could go on, but won't. Suffice it to say, you most certainly will not be disappointed with a meal in this restaurant.

This place is beautiful, cared by the owners directly. One of the best places for breakfast in Bernal, but if you go there for dinner, don’t miss on the soufflé, it’s just splendid.

In short: this is high end Mexican food. Strong recommendation. Very very good. We came back the next day and we rarely do that. Bernal is populated with cheap restaurants and bars. Kuhi is the exception. Great cuisine.

A dream come true since the architecture, sky high windows. The organic feeling comes from every corner of this beautiful place. Elegant yet simple! The food really excelled my expectations. It reminds me of "Como agua para chocolate" Los tamales de garbanzo what a trip! Ancient flavors like Hoja Santa and adobo de Cacahuate. The owners, are interesting characters and amazing hosts. In short a great experience.
