I often overlook bad service when eating is great, unfortunately this restaurant was shocking on both fronts. a very unfriendly and rude 16-year-old was left alone to serve a terrace of 60 plus people. this situation could have been saved by good eating. the quality of the food reminded me of a kantine, but the most worrying part was that my partner was served raw pork. we informed the waitress about it, and she offered to cook it further, but in this phase we had enough. after that no one came to our table, so we went to our bill. the owner gave a small discount, but suggested that the pig was slowly cooked. I could add this review with many insecure practices regarding covid; all servers wore their masks under their kinen, only 1 drinks menu was used for the entire terrace without disinfecting between tables, food menus were limited and also not disinfected with common seasonings. Finally, my partner is a cook and rare, if ever complained when he is in a restaurant. he appreciates the work that goes into hospitality, food preparation and customer service. but if food is served that could cause disease, he says something. my advice, I hope this restaurant sees this review and changes its way.
I saw this restaurant by chance and thought it was as typical as it could be. the next day I tried it for lunch and on Friday evening for her weekly grilled vernae. I was very happy both times! service was fast and friendly....and all at a very moderate price.
We were friends who use this unpretentious village restaurant as their locals. we dined outside and chose the cod from the menu. it was delicious. they often have live music and we would certainly go back, music or no.
This restaurant is located in a pretty town in the magnificent Ardeche province in France. It has a large terrace with trees near a river and there are often bands playing in n summer. The inside is very nice as well. The food was good...and service reasonably prompt, but there were too few servers. All in all highly recommended.
My steak was a little on the tough side but as meals go, I've had far worse in France. The staff were friendly, the beers cold, local wine drinkable and the outdoor seating next to the little stream, lovely. We enjoyed our simple meal here...far more than the much more expensive and less tasty offering in Berrias Savours up the road the previous night. Look over into the river below the bridge. It's alive with wildlife!! Ducks, geese, coypu's, cats, children...
