During our two-week annual vacation, friends recommended that we check out the Meadow House restaurant, and we are so glad we did! We will definitely be returning to explore more of their menu.

We had the Sunday lunch carvery, which was excellent—lovely and hot, and everything tasted freshly cooked. The staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

There was no sign of a selection of warm broth, oils, or flavored butter upon arrival. Despite pre-ordering, it took over 30 minutes to receive cold shrimp starters, which were definitely not impressive. The cod came with curved carrots, and most of the other vegetables were not served warm. I made a reservation for noon, and I'm still waiting for cheese two hours later. This long wait was compounded by the fact that there were only two employees working. I will not be returning.
