Tamales Ogden Champurrado - Berwyn

I’m giving this restaurant a five-star rating because their tamales are absolutely wonderful. While their prices have increased from when I first started going there, you definitely get what you pay for—high-quality tamales. They offer chicken tamales with green sauce and pork tamales with red sauce. They’re also the only place I’ve found that serves bean and cheese tamales, and they are fantastic. They even have sweet tamales! I would highly recommend coming here to try them.

I highly recommend trying the tamales here; the meat-to-masa ratio is perfect. The shredded pork or chicken, topped with either a rich red salsa or mildly spicy green salsa, is just how I like my tamales. Prices are quite reasonable at $1.84 each, $11 for half a dozen, and $21 for a dozen. They also have a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I was focused on the tamales, so I didn't pay much attention to the rest of the menu. My only complaint is that half of the red tamale was a bit too salty.

The best chicken cakes I’ve ever tasted! Edwin is an amazing person; even if the food wasn’t great, I would still return just to experience his wonderful personality.

Nice food and appetizers. I mean really good and unique. Well spaced building that makes for a large dining area. Recommended!

My coworker bought us tamales from here the pork and chicken ones OMG we are ate the tamales they are Super delicious!! I had to get the address from her to buy more !
