Station Pizza Cafe - Besançon

Delicious pizzas with large variation and absolutely friendly service! The list includes many local specialities as toppings. Visited several times during my stay and was never disappointed. Worth of trying if you are around!

If the weather allows it, Station Pizza has a great outdoors dining section in the back. Unfortunately our stay at Besancon was mostly rainy, but on sunny days my group loved walking the short distance from our hotel (Zenitude La City) up the hill to Station Pizza. Even indoors, the ambiance is great. The food, of course, is very good, and the large variety of pizzas were a great mixture of novel French ingredients with the familiar pizza (we're Americans). Best of all, although none of us spoke much French, the owner was very friendly and we were able to have a great time anyway!

Delicious food, relaxing atmosphere, exceptional service. During my stay in Besançon, I became a regular at Station Pizza. Everything I've tried — salad, pizza, pasta, bruschetta, jambon, creme brûlée, tea — has tastes so good. There is outdoor patio seating with shade to enjoy in good weather. One time, they broadcast a euro cup game outside. The owner is so friendly, even when there is a language barrier. He always has a smile on his face.
