Is this a fancy place? No. Is it a pretentious fusion spot? No. It's great, authentic, Central South American cuisine. The specials are excellent, and so are their specialties: Tacos Pupusas made to order. Also, try the seafood soup.

5 stars ALL THE WAY. I have tried at LEAST 75% of the menu and so far only disliked one item, which was the beef soup, which I've had 2 times. I did not find it to have flavor and did not like the broth BUT everything else I tried was absolutely delicious. 10/10! The picture I provided is of the Churrasco Guatemalteco/Guatemalan steak. Everything about this dish is amazing.. There's even crema and a little cheese wedge in there!! I like to eat a bit of everything in one bite and you can't forget the green sauce!! That stuff is made out of pure magic. Chaparros is probably my favorite place to order from in Danbury and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Thank you to the chef who clearly puts in enough hard work to make me write this super long review haha we love you!!!!

First time there today and wasn't disappointed at all. The food was delicious with a home cooking taste and look. As a Latino, I've been eating this type of food all my life and believe me when I tell you is good stuff. Fast service too. I didn't have to spend half of my lunch time waiting for it. We finally had a chance to try this restaurant yesterday, all the dishes we had were excellent, the service was quick and friendly as well, the only negative I felt was that the place could use some updating but overall we enjoyed our lunch and will be back to try other dishes.

I ordered from door dash just wanting something different!!! Most Delicious!!!! Cooked perfectly and the tastes on that plate were to perfection!!! Very happy and want to stop in soon and try more and check out the atmosphere!! Keep it going!
