We canceled, in 2020 and again in February 2021 due to COVID, lost our deposit and rescheduled for 2022.I checked in with Paul Legault a few weeks from the wedding to ask when he would come by for a site visit, he came out and let us know that he would need to subcontract out the tent because our yard is on ledge. That was fine. I asked him a few days later when we could expect the tables and chairs and if those would be subcontracted he said he was still figuring it out. We had a signed contract for what I stated up above. The photos below are what we got delivered in addition to only 8 tables. Lucky for us, they were delivered Tuesday for a Sunday wedding. When we saw the chairs were not white resin padded but rusty grey metal with stained tablecloths and napkins, we told Paul that we were not satisfied with the quality and what we received is not what was in the contract. We told him numerous times it was not acceptable and he refused to do anything but apologize that we were not happy. He did not provide the extra tables as he said the tables we got were larger than the ones we requested. We returned everything to the subcontractor before Sunday and told them it was not acceptable who gave us new slightly better linens but did not have chairs. We ended up renting chairs elsewhere. After the wedding we emailed Paul and asked for a refund for the 3 tables we never got and for the chairs that we returned ourselves prior to the actual event. Needless to say, we got no refund and Paul has since stopped responding to our emails. We even sent these photos to Paul and he still refused to do anything to remedy the situation or refund us, proving the quality of items that Top Notch/Gourmet in a Pinch is comfortable renting out for a wedding. I wanted to share with this group so no one made the same mistake as we did signing a contract with this company. Paul continues to claim that I requested a date change however the emails between us prove I asked about when the delivery date would be, just trying to confirm. Happy to share with anyone if interested!
Its all over Facebook! That's terrible. You should be ashamed of yourselves ?Hi All,I just wanted to share about an experience I had with a local tent rental company that goes by the name Gourmet in a Pinch/Top Notch Tent Rentals out of Bethel. Paul and Charissa are excellent! They provided my furniture rentals and catering at my wedding. Food was delicious. Highly recommend!
I hired Gourmet in a Pinch to cater an important event for some dear friends. Paul and Chef Charisa made everything so simple, and we asked a lot of them. Our party was only accessible by boat, and required a lot of schlepping, and yet they took it all in stride. The food was delicious, and they did everything with a smile, even as a storm came up and we had to move everything quickly inside. All of our guests raved about the food, and were pleased at the ability to have seconds. People are still talking about the flourless chocolate torte which was to die for. As the party planner, Gourmet in a Pinch made my job easy, and relieved any worry I had about how the event would go. I will certainly call them for our next big event!
Paul and Chef Charisa were great to work with and prepared a wonderful 80th birthday dinner for my mother. There were 22 people and we opted for pass appetizers and a sit down dinner to celebrate. Food was excellent as was the service and professionalism. Highly recommended.
