The Jolly Drayman Pub - Bethel

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night and it was perfect/incredible/amazing! The owners are sooo friendly. We also ate at the pub the evening we stayed and we got the naked New York pizza and it was delicious. We stayed in the Tavistock room and the bed was so comfortable! A cute little room, I loved it. Breakfast is included in the room cost. It was delightful. The inn/pub was about 12 minutes from Sunday River where we skied.

Jolly Drayman definitely NOT kid friendly. We went on a Tuesday at 5:00 when it was empty and the staff seemed really put out that we had young kids with us. 1. Tables are high, but high chairs are normal height 2. They have a paper kids menu that looks like it’s meant to be colored, but their were not crayons available. 3. Our excited 3 year old asked if they had pizza and she told him to check the menu. 3. We ordered a kids milk that came in a full pint glass. When said full pint glass of milk inevitably spilled, the waitress handed us a single rag and said she didn’t have time to clean it and suggested we move tables. After that we asked for the check and our food to go... because the fish and chips ARE really good.

The food in the pub, which was just downstairs from our rooms, was great! Overall a great stay in Bethel.

The host Dani, was beyond hospitable. I came down with a stomach bug during my stay and she was so motherly. She brought me tea, toast and ibuprofen. My room was cozy, quaint and clean. Just what you would expect in a northerner new England in .
