Tundra - Bethel

The service was quick, and the staff were welcoming. The food was quite good for the area, and the prices seemed fair for what we received. In fact, it was better than my experiences at similar restaurants in Barrow, AK. While it wasn't anything extraordinary, the dishes were reasonably tasty. I only tried the Chinese food, as I was unsure about the other items on the menu.

Delicious! If you find yourself in Bethel, AK, don't miss out on the Tundra Restaurant—it's a must-visit! I assure you, you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Tundra, for your amazing dishes throughout the year. Just a note: they are usually closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly. Be sure to try the sweet and tangy shrimp, or if you prefer something spicy, the Kung Pao chicken is excellent. The Mongolian beef is also a great option. Don’t miss it!

The food is good, though not exceptional. Aside from the confusingly crispy fries, I didn’t leave feeling disappointed about what I ate. The gyro meat is spectacular and generously portioned; however, the overall preparation of the gyro was a bit different from what I'm used to. The tzatziki had a slightly unusual flavor for my taste, but the quality of the meat outweighed any quirkiness. My companion's cheeseburger was also satisfying, though there was something about it that I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

The tundra suites are no longer called. It's called Hawaiian. Clean, respectful and good management. Me and my wife were there for 4 days. I'm impressed. Completely renovated rooms, clean linens, coffee early in the morning. Yes I like this hotel.
