Georgetown Bagelry - Bethesda

Georgetown Bagelry is one of the oldest bakeries in DC. It was created in the 1980s in Georgetown on M Street until it can find its current home in Bethesda. They have daily fresh bagels that are cooked and made right, New York style. Bacon Eggs and Cheese Bagel Sandwiches and Lox and cream cheese Bagel Sandwiches are very popular, along with the delightful pizza bagels and filling bag dogs. The Bagel Shop has many qualities that you can see in a deli, but they identify with baking primarily. Residents of the area understand that most employees have worked there for 10 years and some about 20 years. This helps in the creation and atmosphere of family, community and small businesses. Georgetown Bagelry has been engaged in the Georgetown, DC, Bethesda community and is trying to stay an institution you can trust in to deliver a great product. You can say that the Georgetown Bagel crew loves what they do!

If you are going to Sarah's for ice cream, make sure to swing by Georgetown to pick up bagels for your next meal or breakfast tomorrow. When I drove to this area, my intent was just to get Sarah's. When I saw that this store front just a few steps away, I had to stop in. I'm really glad I did. Incredible bagels, even next day. I ordered blueberry and pumpernickel rye. I also got a small container of the whitefish salad, which is SO. GOOD. I would actually go out of my way just to get that from Georgetown Bagelry. What set this visit apart was the customer service. I came in right at the last minute, when the store front was dead and ready to close up. Even though it was late and the end of the day, the staff was friendly and even struck up conversation with me, rather than quickly pushing me out the door.

I travel from the Virginia countryside a few days a week to assist my son with a project nearby. Badu’s warm smile, combined with a freshly roasted everything bagel with peanut butter, truly brightens my mornings!

The staff is friendly, and the bagels are fantastic! I really enjoy everything with cream cheese and lox. My son absolutely loves the plain bagel bites! Yum!

The bagels here are fantastic, especially the white fish salad and lox cream cheese. While I've noticed that the white fish salad has been a bit saltier than usual lately, it still tastes great. I also appreciate the early morning hours and the attentive service!
