The Muffaletta is a little smaller than a traditional muffaletta, but still packs an amazing taste. Finally, the Jambalaya is only sharp enough to give you that Louisiana food flavor that is desirable in the DC area.
My favorite Louisiana and Bar restaurant in Maryland or Washington DC. Whether it celebrates Mardi Gras, enjoying football Sundays, weekend breakfast or brunch OR in the mood for some beignets, alligator bits, half and half po-boys, or etouffee LKBB will definitely not disappoint. The bayjo bar makes the best to store hurricanes. Also, turn with groundless mimosas during brunch for an extra $14. Give them a try and let me know that your experience was just as great as mine.
I liked it. My friend is from Louisiana, so he wanted to argue about what color the engraving should be, but I loved it. Great service and good food.
PLUSES: My family I was glad to find this restaurant in Berhesda in New Orleans, near home! 4 of us enjoyed lunch last Saturday. 24 years old daughter loved the shrimp po'boy, 22 years old vegetarian / vegan son enjoyed the vegetables stir fry, man enjoyed the seafood platter I loved the EVERYTHING Jambalaya (very big part) with lots of shrimp, beautiful fresh chicken. The feeling was like you just crashed in a small side restaurant in New Orleans, with tablecloth and delicious food. Gumbo came as a beautiful tasty soup that is much better than soups in most other restaurants. Our group saw this Gumbo soup cup not as good as thick okra Gumbo makes my husband, nor the true gumbo we had elsewhere. I will definitely order it again. *You will enjoy it more if you don't think it's a real rubber bear, but just a big kajun seasoned soup. The bread pudding was surprisingly bland... I'll try another dessert next time. All-in-all a good culinary experience and we will enjoy their food again!
Best Cajun food in a 500 mile radius. I've been to New Orleans several times and still haven't had a better roux or gumbo. Lived in Bethesda all my life among all these amazing restaurants. Still goto Louisiana Kitchen at least 2-3 times a week. Owner is extremely friendly as well and treats everyone like family.
