Anna's Brick Oven Pizza - Bethlehem

Although I don’t live in the Allentown area, I always make an effort to visit Sal’s for their delicious garlic bread and fantastic meals. Every dish I’ve tried has exceeded my expectations. The food is excellent, and there’s plenty of it!

My oldest son and I have been visiting Bethlehem, PA for the Celtic Classic for over 20 years. Throughout the years, we’ve enjoyed many meals at Anna's. It was fantastic to return and indulge in their delicious pizza and excellent service once again.

After a while, our waitress came over, brought us wine glasses and water for the table. We placed our order, which included a pasta fagioli and a garden salad. The soup arrived first, but for some reason, the salad took about ten minutes longer to come. The Margherita pizza we ordered was decent but tasted as if it had been baked in a regular oven rather than a wood-fired one, lacking that desirable crispy crust. We were seated at a small table for two, but our waitress never cleared away the soup and salad dishes, making the table feel cramped. We even had to take two plates from a nearby empty table because they completely forgot to bring ours for the pizza. When I asked the waitress about the difference between the garden salad and the house salad on the menu, she said she didn’t know, despite having worked there for over a year! I understand that good help is hard to find, but it was clear that she needed to step up her game. Our tip reflected the poor service. I guess my partner and I will have to continue our search for a truly great wood-fired pizza restaurant, like Del Ponte in New Jersey. If you're ever in the Bradley Beach area, definitely stop by Del Ponte to enjoy the best pizza ever!

They are usually pretty good, and I enjoy eating there. However, today I bit into something hard and found a piece of metal in my food. It looked like a metal chain that you would pull off an aluminum dishwasher.

I was more disappointed with the service then eating. the waitress was not welcome at all. we sat down and the way she greeted us let us think twice about staying there, in or not. Eating was in order, but nothing woke up about it. not sure if I would recommend this location
