We had the option to eat elsewhere but chose to expect a lesser meal for the pleasure of eating in and then walking around the garden. Ordering just basic breakfast dishes, we were all surprised at the very good value. Nothing spectacular, no fancy garnishing, not excessively generous portions, no vibrant staff or management ..... just good ol' down to earth and entirely ample portions of good food on a plate .... the milkshakes were double thick already. .... and then we had a lovely walk through the gardens....
Well situated in the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens conveniently placed near the gate. It is like an Oasis after a long walk up and down to Leopards Kloof on a hot sunny day. There is shaded outdoor tables also available
Waitress was really friendly. We order the chicken tenders and it was the best tenders we have ever eaten; cripsy in the outside/tender inside. Also order the bobotie, it was decent. Portion of food is big; tasty wedges and generous salad.
The view is awesome! Inside the Harold Potter botanical gardens. Please remember to do the quick, very easy walk to Disaskloof, beautiful waterfall
Sweet spot in Harold Porter to have something light and simple after a stroll in the delightful gardens or hiking Leopards trail. They don't cope with the pressure of being busy so well but who cares with the beautiful setting and mountains. Not a place to be rushed anyway. And go inside for a yummy ice cream cone to enjoy while you walk....
