Feedback gevenI usually reserve to eat here with a group of friends for special occasions. I have eaten several times here and my mouth usually begins to saliva in preparation in the morning. I have usually eaten what is the best steak houses in LA, but no seems to be as good as mastros. They offer a great atmosphere that contributes to the culinary experience. They offer several private rooms including one in their wine cellar that I was lucky enough to enjoy when a friend decided to make it for his 40. birthday to reserve. They have two floors. The floor is a quiet intimate frame, while at the top they have a piano bar that attracts a more spirited crowd. You can also do a little stargazing here, as many celebrities of this food often. If you are a meat lover and want to experience a great atmosphere, I recommend taking a trip to Mastro
Mastro’s is the best restaurant in which I created. It combines class (sinatra style) with incredible dishes. Cutting everything from Steak is brilliant and the sides are spectacular. Service is excellent and unsurpassed. Note: The best place to celebrate something special or to entertain a business meeting.
I went to my company's holiday dinner and it was my first time. We had a private room upstairs, which was also the wine cellar. The upper floor is alive and the atmosphere is great. We had the famous Mickey Vegas as a waiter. I say famous because my employee told me he was mentioned on citysearch.com, etc. as the waiter. We all had a few cocktails before dinner. Mickey was very familiar with the menu and the wine list. My staff and I shared a dozen oysters that were delicious. I had the bone-in-file mignon, what I was told, is more tasteful than the fillet without the bone. I had better fillets with other steakhouses. But what made Mastro so amazing was her lobster potatoes! It's not on the menu, but they have it... and it's AMAZING!! The chocolate soap was so rich, almost TOO rich. But the vanilla bean ice cream that came with him was the best vanilla bean ice cream I've ever had. The staff of Mastro were all very friendly and personal. Overall, it was a beautiful and unforgettable experience at Mastro’s.
The steaks here are amazing. This is one of the pricier restaurants in the city, but it was very pleasant (may be cuz I don't pay the bill!). The Petite Filet I had was cooked to perfection and still comes on a dish directly from the oven and can therefore not be touched for some time. It seems strange to me and I don't understand the voodoo that doesn't overcook it. Are you eating fast? The mashed potatoes should also die. Loved the ambience, even if it was a bit loud. Service impeccable. Would you go back, who wants to take me?
The ambiance is wonderful as you go upstairs to the piano bar lounge. There’s always a great crowd of older people. Some are young and attractive too. I ordered a petit steak once and it was very tough. So, I let the manager know and he comped me because it was 10:45 and the kitchen was closing, he offered dessert. I will come back again just because service was top notch and try a better steak that is tender!
