Nice meal good service would visit again nice prompt service and clean environment

We had heard such good things about meze, upon arrival the exterior of the restaurant is lovely. We got in to the restaurant and were sat directly in front of the door, awful placement for a table as the doors are constantly being open and shut and my partner and I were constantly blasted with cold winter air. I spoke to one of the wait staff and asked if we could move as it was an awful table due to being sat indoors and feeling as though we were outside, I was told she’d look and that was the end of it, we were then told we could move our table over which didn’t help and then left me back to back with another diner. We were left with a very obvious impression that they are far more interested in parties/group bookings. The restaurant is also very loud, but again that is more about the parties/groups so not really their fault. Overall, the food was fantastic and is definitely good value for money ; however the staffs lack of interest in their diners enjoyment was extremely disappointing considering we would love to eat there again, but there was only one table for two so we’d likely be stuck in front of the door blasted with wind again.

What a disappointing night. Food ok. Could not finish meal as told our 90 minutes was up and we had to pay bill. Manager walking round in duffle coat it was cold but really!!!!! Not a very professional establishment. Really really noisy. Never again!!!!

On a date with my boyfriend on Saturday night we really enjoyed the food then decided we would like to order dessert. The waiter gave us the menus and when we went to order she informed us we needed to leave in 5 minutes (7.25pm). When asking why we was told our table was needed in 5 minutes (7.30pm). However when booking the table The meze rang and confirmed that we would have the table between 6.30pm and 8pm. She then went on to ask if we wanted the bill, which was fairly obvious as we clearly was not able to order dessert as we wished. In addition, we had ordered drinks half way through eating our mains, however they did not turn up until a few minutes before we had to leave which meant we either had to drink it quickly or leave it. We had been looking forward to going to the meze for a while after I had recommended to my boyfriend, friends and family after a few enjoyable meals/nights at the Meze. Therefore after the events of Saturday night, it was very disappointing and ruined and rushed our evening out. I found the customer service and treatment appalling.

Very welcoming; good service. Food choice excellent with healthy options available. Background music not intrusive; warm and friendly.
