Le Manteau Bleu - Béziers

Very good restaurant, friendly with employees and super nice bosses. I recommend this table or we eat entry, dish, dessert and 1/4 wine for just over 15 euros

Very good reception and good cuisine. A restaurant that is very well for a road clientele but also for office people and much more because the service is really up to the expectations that everyone wants.

We had been on a canal holiday when we were hit by the French general strike on 19th October. We were at the top of the 9 Ecluses Fonseranes. At the new visitor centre where there is a restaurant and after making enquiries the staff they informed us the restaurant would be open that evening which would save us a walk into Beziers in the rain. The restaurant didn't open, why? I don't know. I then went for a walk and found Le Manteau Blue. It is a five minute walk from the top of the locks. First impressions of the place.... clean, tidy if not a bit old fashioned....but the place was open and serving food. The proprietor did not speak much English and my family with limited french was no problem. We had a fantastic meal! the wife being a steak fan was blown away by the Cote de Boeuf, she said it was the best steak she had ever eaten. I had the Plat de Jour, shoulder of pork in mustard sauce, beautiful!!! We also has starters, desserts, wine, beer, cognac, coffee, Kids meal, Orangina...... We could not fault the quality of the food or the service....Fantastic! Great find all for 67 Euros

This roadside restaurant is open Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner. The clientele are mostly French workers. The food was outstanding and extremely cheap. Starters and mains for two with wine was 19 euros. Well recommended.
