This restaurant in Dharamshala is a great place to enjoy delicious Tibetan food. You must try their mutton momos - even as a chicken momos fan, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them. Another must-try dish is the alufing, a juicy kartoffel bowl with glass noodles and vegetables that is full of flavor. They also serve a big thukpa that is sure to satisfy. The restaurant is a bit off the main road, so you'll have to navigate through the narrow streets to find it. Overall, a hit from my side.
The restaurant is gorgeous and spotless. It is situated 1 km uphill from Dharamshala-Yol main street. They have a limited selection of vegetarian dishes compared to non-vegetarian options. We enjoyed the spinach cheese momos (vegetarian) and the vegetable thukpa.
Food flavor is good, but no hygiene in the restaurant. we can see flying in the suppe when they complain that they say we can't do anything. that didn't feel guilty. it is necessary to improve customs service.
It’s not cool or hip. It’s not beautiful or garnished with a view. In fact, you need to walk downstairs to the right of a different Tibet restaurant which I did not try. Don’t expect gourmet service. It’s great Tibetan food. The quality is far...superior. I would have given five stars but trying to be fair. It seems visitors seek only TA number one but those places quickly become sterilized. This place has credibility among the Tibetans living here. It’s quite affordable.
