I have tried thukpa at many restaurants in McLeod, but most of them lacked flavor. However, this place is an exception! The mixed thukpa chicken selection is incredibly tasty. And who wouldn't love momos in soup?
This cozy restaurant near the H H Dalai Lama temple offers delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. While there may be a little wait for your order, the taste makes it worth it. I highly recommend trying the Tibetan mutton thali for ₹250, which includes a bowl of rice, three mutton momos, sliced mutton with onions and vegetables, and a flavorful gravy with unique herbs. After visiting the temple, stop by for a meal and don't forget to try the fruit beer for ₹50.
The Mixed Chicken Thukpa was delicious. It includes 3 chicken dumplings and Thukpa soup. When you bite into the dumplings, the flavorful soup bursts out.
Tibetan thali is a great idea and not bad, but the monos taste weird (maybe some cheap cheese in them) and the veggies are deep fried (albeit yummy). The green curry has nothing Thai to it (go to Carpe Diem for a good one) and the Ginger Lemon Honey has sugar syrup instead of honey (only at Common Ground, Pancake Hut and Kalimpong Restaurant have we received real honey)
