It is home to a major railway station along the Konkan Railway line and is named after the Jain Grammarian, Bhattakalanka. Located along the Arabian Sea with the Sharavathi river to the north, Bhatkal has a rich history. The town was influenced by the Portuguese in the 16th century, then by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan until the late 17th century. Tipu Sultan developed Bhatkal into an important port, constructing a Mosque and a street named after himself as well as marrying one of his wives from the town. After Tipu Sultan’s death, Bhatkal came under British control in 1799. The Hotel Srinivas Deluxe is conveniently located on the main road, near the junction of Port Road. This no-frills, Pure Veg hotel offers a variety of South and North Indian cuisine. The friendly and helpful staff ensure a satisfying dining experience with ample portions at affordable prices. While it may not offer luxurious amenities, the hotel provides hearty meals and refreshments for its guests. Our experience at Hotel Srinivas Deluxe was definitely enjoyable.
Had a great vegetarian lunch at this restaurant. The food quality was superb with a good variety to choose from. The place was clean and the service was prompt. Highly recommend!
This is the best breakfast spot in the morning. The dishes are fresh and flavorful, with ample parking available and well-maintained tables.
This hotel is located in Bhatkal town right on the highway close to Bunder Road Junction. It is a pure vegetarian restaurant serving both South Indian and North Indian snacks and food. The restaurant is of a very mediocre standard for a small town like Bhatkal. The restaurant has a separate AC hall for dining to beat the summer heat. You can have a snack or a meal in this hotel. Please do not expect high standards here. Washrooms are not great. But the hotel is manageable for a snack/lunch/dinner break for highway travelers looking for a pure vegetarian restaurant.
The hotel srinivas deluxe is located directly on the main road, at the intersection of port road. it is not a frills hotel, but something nicely maintained. it is a pure veg hotel and serves a series of South and North Indian cuisine. the people are nice and helpful. the employees are attentive, including the administration. portions are sufficient and the prices are very affordable. it is not a place for them if they are looking for luxury. but they have a hearty meal and refreshments for their satisfaction. we made it definitiw!
