Seahorse Restaurant - Bicheno

I recently dined at this restaurant which offers a casual dining experience with slightly higher prices. Despite the cost, the portions were generous and the service was quick and friendly. My party ordered the vegetarian fried rice without egg, stir-fried vegetables with bean curd, and a separate stir-fried vegetable dish. The server was knowledgeable about vegan options and recommended garlic and soy sauces for our meal.

Stayed in Bicheno for 3 days, and dined here on our first night. Food is freshly cooked, really tasty and large serves. Service is friendly, with left over 'takeaway' welcome. Would recommend, and would eat here again. Loved it..

The food is ok, average for anyone coming from the City on the mainland. But for Bicheno it is good. Good for the town and another place to eat (so few places to eat that are not just battered fish in the area).They use local food, maybe from the IGA, but local...maybe further wide?Coming from Scotland were you have the best food in Europe at times, it is as said average, poor, but for this place very good.I wish them success here, maybe get it a bit better.They have so many costs re the council, government for the business so the prices reflect that.

Had a great dinner here tonight. Might be a bit expensive, but it was worth every mouthful. The owner was working alone but still managed to get the meals out promptly and efficiently. Highly recommended

We are regular visitors to Bicheno and stayed there over xmas. I'm not one for Chinese food usually so had not tried this place before. The décor is all over the place but don't judge this book by it's cover! However, the service is great (friendly and informative), the ingredients fresh and the food is tasty. They went out of their way to create a vegetarian dish for my son. And the serving sizes are generous. We took our leftovers home with us. Yes, it is pricy - especially compared to other local fare which is strictly takeaway but the quality is good. We would go again, as a special occasion restaurant.
