It looked like a few shavings of meat, on a huge bun. Very disappointing. Hello Savory Gourmet in Alpharetta, where they know how to make a sandwich. After decades of patronage, Henri’s has definitely lost our business for the deli.
I have been a customer of Henri 's since the 1960 's. In the past 8 months the quality of baked goods and sandwiches have been a most unpleasant experience. I kept thinking maybe this is just an off day for them as baked goods for this location are actually baked in Buckhead and transported. Today was the final trip I will ever make to this bakery. The past several visits we have experienced stale pastries and stale bread on the po 'boys they are famous for. We will never frequent this establishment again as there is no fresh baked anything. Apparently they keep everything in the case for days as well as the bread used for sandwiches. The cheese bennie I purchased this morning was awful. Very old!!! Henri 's you will never be the same. You have lost a 50+ year customer. It was bad when you discontinued the Belgian slice cookies and we almost quit making the drive to Sandy Springs. Today was the nail in the coffin. The petit fours purchased were extremely stale. Adios Henri 's!!!
Pickles in roast beef sandwich were disgusting and hard to pick out. No way to remove them when ordering online. Pate choux in éclair was nothing like real pate choux. It was like it was made to have a longer shelf life. The chocolate on the éclair completely surrounded it. Way too much chocolate and nothing like a real éclair. Why are there all these good reviews? I guess people don't know the difference between the real thing and Henri's miserable offerings. Got a delivery order wrong. Delivery packaging in inadequate and food arrives smashed or broken. Really, that éclair was the worst thing I have ever seen and was definitely not an éclair. Cookies are way too sugary and do not have distinctive tastes.
Really disappointed. We saw Henri's advertised on a TV special and decided to treat ourselves to a nice lunch out. It was the worst Reuben sandwich I've ever eaten. It was basically grocery store lunch meat thrown on two pieces of skinny wet rye bread with very little cheese and virtually no sauerkraut or dressing. The photography of their sandwiches is very nice, but the actual sandwich missed the mark. We won't return for sandwiches. On the other hand, their desserts were excellent.
I love the egg salad and the people that work here are always super nice but I have placed 3 order in a row and asked for toasted bread for my sandwich and NOT once have I received a toasted sandwich.
