4 B's - Billings

I come to Napa for lunch at least once a week after work, and I usually order the soup and sandwich special. My waitress is Paris, and she's fantastic about 90% of the time!

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but for the $35 spent for two people, I expected better. Unfortunately, the cook didn’t get the sunny-side-up eggs right, and the steak was overcooked. However, the wait staff was excellent, and the food was just okay.

Regarding the food, it was disappointing and overpriced. The tomato soup, which is usually a highlight, was a major letdown this time. There was too much cream and not enough flavor; it seems they may have a new cook. This was particularly frustrating, as the soup is one of the main reasons we choose to visit 4B's. I ordered eggs and bacon, but my eggs were runny, and the bacon was nearly burnt. My husband chose the Eggs Benedict, but they substituted lunch meat for ham steak, and the hollandaise sauce tasted curdled and pre-packaged rather than fresh. The only standout item was the kids' cheeseburger meal, which came with a decent-sized burger and fries. It was by far the best-tasting and most reasonably priced item we ordered. Overall, there wasn’t anything special about this visit, and we probably won’t return to this location. The best 4B's/JB's in Montana are definitely in Great Falls and Missoula; they know how to serve the soup properly!

The meatloaf on the senior menu was extremely thin and was the size of a half piece of bread. It had no taste. Thankfully, the dinner salad was good. This is the second time I have been there recently and had a bad meal.

This was awful. We both had the bbib, (best breakfast in town) and it definitely was not. Completely inedible. The bacon was burned, the sausages links were grease sticks, the scramble tasted like it was soaked in old grease and the toast was sloppy wet. I do not recommend this place. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
