Gusick's - Billings

This is definitely an established restaurant in the community. You can be sure that you will get a good meal no matter what you order. Years of tradition and quality is at Gusicks. Today I had the Pork Chop John’s Sandwich, it brought me straight back to uptown Butte eating out of their place. Delicious, juicy, crisp, wonderfully seasoned. It was just missing the Butte feeling. Great place for a steak dinner and listen to conservative chit chat.

I ordered the chicken-fried steak, and it was extremely salty. The gravy resembled a bright neon pool of melted plastic. This place feels like somewhere your grandparents would take you for bland, uninteresting food.

I won't be returning to this restaurant. The food was simply terrible. The interior was uncomfortably cold, forcing every customer to wear coats and hats throughout their meal. The pork chops were extremely dry and bland, the chicken strips were small and mushy, the fries were undercooked, and the mashed potatoes were disappointing. This ranks among the top three worst meals I've ever had at a restaurant. The atmosphere felt like a large, empty, outdated, and chilly space. The prices are outrageous for such small portion sizes. They definitely need to invest in heating their building. Overall, it was a terrible experience and a waste of money.

I visited the restaurant for breakfast, unaware that they don't actually serve it. When the manager approached me, he had a really unpleasant attitude and bluntly told me they don't serve breakfast. As we were leaving the parking lot, the manager even stepped outside and made rude comments to my dad since there were no other customers around. I don't recommend wasting your time here due to poor service, bad management, and not-so-great food from my previous visits.

I live in West Montana, but if I lived near Billings, I would be here at least once a week. This place has the best vibes talking to customers all, as they have known for years - all about the tables and bar. It's like sitting at a table. I had no food, but what I saw AND smell both saw and smells delicious! The other customers renown about what they had. My husband and I ordered a drink to cool down and sit briefly in the AC. Next time, I want to go by and have something to eat. Great service!
