The waitstaff is always very friendly and accommodating and the ambiance is very nice maybe a little too noisy on fridays but thats to be expected i guess since its so popular. I had lobster tacos for the appetizers and two different sushi rolls.....perfection on a plate. Even the dessert was so good....warm butter cake with mixed berry coulis....while the place is a little pricey the quality and service can not be beat.
The food here is unreal, the ambiance is amazing, and the service is A1. Our waiter Justin was very helpful and everything that was recommended by him ended up being some of my favorite dishes at adachi, and I’m saying this as a frequent customer. The price is reasonable, and portions are perfect to share. Wouldn’t recommend any other sushi Japanese spots!
This review is real, Unlike the several 5 star reviews written by the manager's friends and family to make the restaurant look good. I have a copy of our receipt to prove that we dined at Adachi Sushi Japanese Cuisine in Birmingham, MI. Unscrupulous! On Saturday May 13, 2023 my husband and I chose Adachi to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. We chose it over Hyde Park and Joe Muer’s Seafood. Our decision to celebrate our anniversary at Adachi was solely based on of first experience. We really enjoyed the food and the service at the bar. Unfortunately today was not a good experience. We arrived shorty after 4pm. We were the only guests at the bar. The bar tender asked us for our drink order and it went down hill from there. The bar tender kept disappearing. This happened so frequently throughout the evening that we were there for over 2 hours. We definitely felt like an afterthought. We waited so long to get our food and we ordered 2 A 5 Wagyu Maki rolls, forty two each, 1 Avocado cucumber rolls nine each, 1 Salmon Avocado rolls fifteen each. Waited way too long to order a second cocktail. Then our server disappeared and we waited longer to order our entrees. Didn’t bring our meals out together. My husband’s meal came out 10 minutes after mine. I was so upset! After finally getting our food. We placed an order for carry out and that was not good either. Brought the sushi rolls out 20 minutes before they found our hot meal carry out.We spent almost four hundred dollars for a very unpleasant experience. My husband brought it to the manager Shannon Dwyer's attention, at the time seemed to be concerned, but never followed up afterward. We won’t be going back. This was not the experience that we had hoped for to celebrate our 34 year anniversary. We do not recommend. Food is good, but the service is that of a cheap Coney Island.

The calm ambiance Japanese decadence makes for a pleasurable inviting experience. The A-5 Wagyu, Sakura, Adachi Flame the Zen Maki rolls are a must to try. Saki, preferably chilled, is a great addition to your meal their selection is supreme.Spend your anniversary here, Adachi will definitely make the experience a memorable one.
