But once it took 15 minutes to get to our table, another 30 for us to get drinks and another 45 minutes for our food. I had to get up several times to ask for things we missed like cutlery. Bad experience.
The service here is terrible. Waited for 50 minutes for breakfast that never came without a statement from the waitress. It was NOT crowded. We went out in frustration before we got our food. The young lady at the reception was nice. We told her we just wanted to pay for our soda and coffee and go. She said she couldn't ring it, but would call a manager in front. I said we were tired to wait and I put $7 on the counter and told her that I'm sure this was more than enough to pay for our drinks and we went. I wasn't there in over two years and hoped that the service might be better at that time. I was wrong. Maybe expect generic computer-assisted response...
It's always fun to take the grandkids to Cracker Barrel! They love shopping for a special toy while we're there and the charm is everywhere. So many great southern style dishes to choose from. I love the meatloaf, hash brown casserole, and turnip greens with hot biscuits!
The meatloaf was raw, the biscuits were undercooked. No manager came to apologize, no offer to recook it when the second piece was another raw slice thrown on the grill which was still raw inside. The waitress did not even ask if the second slice was cooked. I should have been refunded the cost of this meal. I have eaten at dozens of Cracker Barrels all over the country and have never had an experience like this. Sad, angry and still HUNGRY!!
RECOMMEND this location for great traditional southern country dishes. Great tasting, awesome service, good portions, affordable prices, and amazing gift shop. Must try their mimosas when you can!
